- In June we will be celebrating our 1st Birthday, with a family party at the nursery. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun activities and help us mark a sucessful first year, as well as raise money for our chosen charity Francis House Children’s Hospice. The party is on Saturday 16th June. More details to follow.
- The nursery is also raising money for Manchester Children’s Hospital, by having a Teddy Toddle on May 14th. We will be taking our teddy bears from the nursery to The Carrs and back again for a teddy bears picnic. All children from nursery are welcome to take part. Please speak to us to get more details.
- In addition to our weekly ‘Stretch-n-Grow’ class, we have recently started to run a My Mini Maestros class for children at the nursery. Both sessions are free to attend, even for children not normally in nursery on these days.
- Like all other nurseries in the Monkey Puzzle group, the Wilmslow nursery has been awarded a rating of ‘GOOD’ in our first inspection by OFSTED (November 2011). This is a significant acheivement for a nursery that had only been open 5 months, and is evidence of the hard work put in by all the team since we opened in June. Comments made in the report reflect the warm welcoming feel of the nursery, the caring and experienced nature of the team, and the high quality and variety of our resources. The report is available on OFSTED’s website and copies are also available at the nursery for existing parents/ carers.

Nursery Summary
The Wilmslow day nursery is conveniently located in the town centre, close to the railway station and other public transport links.
The setting is a light, spacious and welcoming building, with great indoor and outdoor spaces, and modern security systems including CCTV. All rooms have been equipped with fantastic facilities to encourage learning and development through play, and independence as the children reach each stage of their development. In addition to the three main childcare rooms, the nursery has a separate IT room, sensory room, and physical play room. This increases the variety available for children throughout the day as they are able to move between different rooms and activities.
